How fast can a locksmith get to me in Vancouver?
Our standard target is 20–30 minutes for any address inside Vancouver. For Burnaby, Richmond, Surrey and the rest of the Lower Mainland, expect 30–45 minutes depending on traffic. For true emergencies (locked out at night, all keys lost) we dispatch immediately on the call.
Are you a licensed locksmith?
Yes. Safe & Secure Locksmith has been a fully licensed and insured locksmith in Vancouver for over 30 years. Every technician carries provincial licensing and is background-checked before they touch a single lock.
Do you charge a callout fee?
No surprise fees. We quote you a clear price on the phone before we dispatch. If we discover something on-site that changes the scope (e.g. a broken cylinder you didn't know about), we tell you and re-quote before any extra work begins.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Cash, debit, all major credit cards, and Interac e-transfer. For commercial accounts and strata work we can invoice on net-30 terms with an account.
Can you make a key for my car if I lost all of them?
Yes — we cut and program transponder keys, key fobs, and proximity (proxi) keys for most makes (Toyota, Honda, Ford, GM, Mazda, Hyundai, Kia, Subaru, Volkswagen, BMW, Mercedes and more). Even all-keys-lost scenarios — we can come to your vehicle and get you back in.
Do you do commercial master key systems?
Yes. We design and install master key systems, restricted-keyway systems (Mul-T-Lock, Medeco), access control, panic bars, and door-closer hardware for offices, retail, strata buildings, and warehouses across Greater Vancouver.
My deadbolt is broken — can you replace it today?
In most cases, yes. We carry stock for all major brands (Schlage, Kwikset, Yale, Weiser, Mul-T-Lock) on the truck. If you want a specific high-security model we don't have on hand, we can usually source it within 24 hours.
Are you open 24/7?
Yes. We answer the phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and statutory holidays. Emergency call-outs are dispatched immediately at any hour.
