When a GM remote still works but looks terrible, with a split seam, a missing battery door or button rubber worn right through, the fix is a new case, not a new remote. This is that case: a 6-button housing with no electronics inside. Your original circuit board, and with it all the programming the truck or SUV already recognises, moves across into this shell. Since nothing that talks to the vehicle changes, no programming is needed. Six-button GM remotes from these years usually include lock, unlock, remote start, two rear-door functions and panic, so match the button icons and positions to your remote before ordering; a shell with the wrong layout will not line up with the contacts on your board. Transferring a board is fiddly and the solder points and contacts are easy to damage with a screwdriver, so we are happy to do the swap for you at the counter.
