Key Blanks 1659 Vancouver

New door hardware usually arrives with two keys, and two is rarely enough for a household. If your lockset came with keys that fit the 1659 profile, copying them early, while they are sharp and unworn, gives you the best pattern you will ever have. Keep one original aside as the master copy and use the others day to day. When you need more keys in a few years, cut them from that untouched original rather than from the one on your ring. At the counter, we check your key against the 1659 by its groove pattern, length and shoulder position. If it matches, we trace it on the duplicator, deburr the result and compare the two side by side. If something does not line up, we look for the correct blank instead. If your new lock came without keys or the keys do not match, there may be an issue with the hardware. Bring it in to 4105 Macdonald St and we will take a look.
