Owners of 2010s Ford Focus, Escape, Fiesta and Transit Connect models will know this key: a high-security blade with a track milled down the middle instead of edge cuts. The same HU101 profile was also used on some Volvo and Land Rover vehicles of that period. This is a loose blade, listed as FO-24 and #36 (supplier ref MFK-036). Flip keys are where loose blades earn their keep. The pivot and spring take a beating, and a blade that has bent or snapped at the pivot pin can be replaced on its own, leaving the electronics in the head untouched. We mill the new blade to code on our code machine so it matches your locks precisely. Without a head, the blade will open the door locks but will not start the vehicle, because the chip sits in the head or fob.
