Older BMWs use a distinctive key: a two-track HU92 blade with a milled channel on each face, often paired with a diamond-shaped or rounded head. If your BMW key has that look and the blade is wearing down, this is the replacement blade, also listed as BM-6 and catalogued as #34 (supplier ref MFK-034). On these cars the blade wears faster than the head, partly because the ignition and door locks are tight-tolerance. When the key starts to need jiggling, it is usually time for a fresh blade cut to code rather than a copy of the worn one. The blade itself has no transponder; it opens doors and the trunk but relies on the head for the immobiliser. If you are moving the blade into an existing head, we cut and fit it.
