When the rubber buttons on a Lexus remote key wear through, you can see the circuit board underneath. That is the moment most people come to us, and this shell is the usual fix. It is a new outer housing with a three-button pad and an uncut blade for Lexus remote head keys used from 1998 to 2008, sold empty. Empty matters. It is not a working key until your original board and transponder chip are moved into it. We do that transfer at the counter, cut the blade to your locks, and test the buttons and ignition. No new programming is normally needed, because the car already recognises those electronics. How does it differ from the 1997 to 2011 Lexus shell in our shop?
