Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep fobs from the mid-2000s take a beating. The plastic halves pull apart, the button pad wears through, and the loop at the top snaps so the fob dangles from the ring by nothing. If the buttons still work when you press on the board, the electronics are fine and a shell is all you need. This one has three buttons, normally lock, unlock and panic. It is an empty housing. Your existing board, and the transponder if it lives in the fob, are moved across, which means the vehicle keeps recognising it and nothing has to be programmed. Chrysler used several fob shapes in these years, and some shells include an emergency blade slot while others do not. Bring the old fob with you so we can line them up before opening anything, or ask us to confirm for your trim and year. If your fob has stopped responding altogether, check the battery first, then let us test the board. A failed board means a new fob programmed to the vehicle, not a new case.
