Automotive Keys 2007-2017 GM / 5-Button Keyless Entry Remote Vancouver

A five-button GM fob packs in lock, unlock and panic, plus two extras that depend on the vehicle. On most it is remote start and the trunk or liftgate. On some minivans and SUVs the extras control power doors. The remote start button is the main reason people seek out this fob. If your truck or SUV came with factory remote start and the fob that operates it has died, you lose that winter comfort until it is replaced. Like other GM keyless remotes, this one has no blade and no chip. It cannot start the engine by key and does not affect the immobiliser. Its job is to talk to the body control module, which receives the button presses. Getting it working means pairing with the vehicle present. GM often requires all fobs to be programmed in the same session, so bring every remote you use. Button layout and frequency changed across GM models and years in this range. Compare the buttons on your old fob, or send us a photo of its back, and we will confirm the right one before you buy.
