Automotive Keys 2009-2014 BMW 3 / 5 / 7 Series / 4-Button Smart Key / CAS 4+ Vancouver

CAS is BMW's Car Access System, the module that decides whether a key may start the engine, and this key is matched to cars running CAS4 or the later CAS4+ version. It is a four-button smart key for the 2009 to 2014 3, 5 and 7 Series, adding a fourth button, which on many of these cars is the panic function, to lock, unlock and trunk. Knowing the module matters because BMW keys are programmed to the security system rather than just paired like a remote. A key for an older CAS3 car looks similar but is set up differently, and the reverse is true too. If you are not sure what your car has, give us the VIN and we will check. The programming visit happens at the car. We connect to the CAS module, add the new key, and confirm the remote and keyless functions work. The emergency blade is cut to your door at the same time. Registration and photo ID are required. If you are down to one working key, getting a second now saves the larger all keys lost job later, though we handle that too.
