We move your board, battery and button contacts into the new housing and close it up. Nothing is reprogrammed, because the vehicle already knows the board. If you need a fresh emergency blade for the slot, we cut it to your door lock at the same time. A quick test tells you whether a shell is enough: put a new battery in, stand next to the vehicle, and try every button. If they all work, you only need a case. If the car says it cannot find the key, the electronics are the issue, and a complete smart key is the purchase to make.
