Automotive Keys 2012-2018 BMW 3 / 5 / 7 Series / 4-Button Smart Key w/ LCD Screen Vancouver

BMW's display key looks more like a small phone than a key fob. Besides the usual lock, unlock and trunk buttons, it carries a colour touchscreen that can show information from the car, such as fuel range, door and window status and service reminders, and on cars equipped for it can run some remote functions. It recharges rather than relying only on a coin cell, which is worth remembering if the screen goes blank. Which BMWs accept it depends on the model, year and factory options, not just the series badge. Ask us to confirm for your car before ordering, and we will check against the VIN. Getting a display key working is a programming job at the car, using diagnostic equipment to register the key with the vehicle's security module. We cut the integrated emergency blade to your door at the same time. Spare keys and all keys lost are both done at the vehicle, though with no key the visit takes longer. Registration and photo ID are needed. Call 604-734-7233 with your VIN and we will tell you whether this key suits it.
