Automotive Keys 2015-2020 GMC Chevrolet / 6-Button Smart Key Vancouver

GMC and Chevrolet built their full-size trucks and SUVs on shared platforms, and this 6-button fob is one of the keys they share. Whether your badge says Chevrolet or GMC, the question that matters is whether the button layout and the internal part match yours. Six buttons tend to mean lock, unlock, remote start, a rear liftgate function, a rear glass or second rear function, and panic. If your vehicle has a power liftgate, the liftgate button opens it; on a manual tailgate it may do nothing. Look closely at the back of your old fob for a part number or ID, because that is the quickest way for us to confirm we have the right one. Like all GM proximity keys of this generation, the fob holds a slide-out emergency blade. We cut it to your door so it opens the vehicle if the fob ever goes dead. Programming takes place with the vehicle present, either at our shop counter or on a mobile call, and we will need the registration plus photo ID. A spare done while one key still works is far easier than starting from zero.
