Automotive Keys 2016-2020 Chevrolet Sonic Cruze XL7 / 5-Button Smart Key Vancouver

This listing groups the 5-button fob used on push-start Sonic and Cruze models with a third application in the title, and because those are quite different vehicles, the safest approach is a VIN check before ordering. We would rather spend a minute confirming than have you buy a fob that will not program. On the compact Chevrolets, five buttons normally means lock, unlock, trunk, remote start and panic. Remote start only works if your car has the feature, so do not count on the button adding it. Compared with the turn-key flip keys these cars also used, a proximity fob changes the job: there is no blade in the ignition to cut, only the emergency key hidden in the fob, which we cut so it opens the driver's door. The fob is then programmed to the car with it in front of us. Typical reasons for a visit include a fob split open from being dropped and a second driver in the house who needs their own key.
