Automotive Keys 2017-2023 GMC Acadia / 3-Button Smart Key Vancouver

The second-generation Acadia, the lighter one GMC introduced for 2017, uses a proximity fob to unlock and start. This is the plainest version of it: lock, unlock and panic, with no remote start and no liftgate button. Acadias built with those features shipped with a fob that has more buttons, so match the button count on your current key before ordering. Why would someone want the 3-button version? Usually because that is what came with the vehicle, and a fob with extra buttons for features the Acadia does not have will not add them. The SUV decides what the fob can do. Inside the case sits a removable emergency key. It has no chip and will not start the engine, but it opens the driver's door when the fob battery or the vehicle battery is flat. We cut it to your lock so it is ready the day you need it. The fob itself is programmed through the Acadia's diagnostic port. Bring the Acadia, the registration and photo ID to 4105 Macdonald St, or have us come to where it is parked. A spare made while one fob still works is the quicker job.
