Automotive Keys 2019-2021 Chevrolet Silverado / 5-Button Smart Key w/ Tailgate Vancouver

The tailgate button is the reason to pick this listing. Silverados built with a power-release or power-operated tailgate shipped with a fob that has a dedicated button for it, alongside lock, unlock, remote start and panic. Press it and the gate drops without anyone walking to the back of the truck. If your fob shows a pickup bed icon, this is the match for your 2019 to 2021 Silverado. A fob without that button cannot command the tailgate even if the truck has the feature, and a fob with the button will not add a power gate to a truck that lacks one. Matching the fob to the truck matters. Work trucks are rough on keys. We often replace fobs with cracked backs from being sat on, or ones where the tailgate button no longer clicks because it gets pressed with gloves on. The board inside is usually fine until the case lets in water. We program the fob at the truck through the diagnostic port, with the registration and your ID. The small metal key that slides out of the fob is cut to your driver's door lock on our code machine. Call 604-734-7233 or visit 4105 Macdonald St to arrange it.
