Automotive Keys 2021-2022 GMC Sierra / 5-Button Smart Key Vancouver

On a 2021 or 2022 Sierra with push button start, the fob in your pocket is what the truck looks for before it lets the engine fire, so a lost one is more than a door problem. The five-button version usually carries lock, unlock, remote start, panic and a tailgate or trunk-style release, but GM changed layouts by trim, so compare the face of your old fob with the photo or ask us to confirm for your trim. Inside the case is a small emergency blade that slides out for the driver's door when the coin cell is flat. We cut that blade to your lock and then pair the fob to the truck, which needs the Sierra on site along with the registration and your photo ID. If you still have one working key, adding a second one is the easy job; when every key is gone we have to work from the lock and the truck's module, which takes more steps. A weak battery is the most common reason a Sierra fob suddenly stops working at a distance, so try a fresh cell before assuming the key has failed. You can bring the truck to 4105 Macdonald St or have us come to it.
