We cut and program transponder keys, smart proximity keys, and remote fobs for every Jeep model from the late 1990s onward. On-site service runs $180-$420 depending on model and key type — older transponder keys at the lower end, newer smart keys at the upper end. You will need photo ID matching the registration plus the VIN; for all-keys-lost we also need ownership paperwork before we cut, since we are creating new credentials for the immobilizer.

How a mobile Jeep key cut works

First, a licensed automotive locksmith drives to your location anywhere in Vancouver — usually within 20-30 minutes — with a stocked Jeep blank kit. Then we read the VIN and immobilizer to identify the exact key and chip required. Next we cut the key blade on a code-cutter (or by decoding the lock cylinder if all keys are lost), then program the transponder or smart key to the immobilizer using OEM-protocol tooling. Finally we test ignition start, remote lock/unlock, panic, and trunk release before you drive away. Whole job: 30-45 minutes for transponder keys, 45-75 minutes for smart proximity keys, 60-90 minutes for all-keys-lost.

For ignition issues (key sticks, will not turn), the cylinder usually needs a full replacement around 150,000+ km.

Can you cut a key from VIN if all keys are lost?+
Yes — we read your VIN, derive the key code from the Jeep database, cut a blade on-site, and program the transponder or smart key from scratch via the OBD port. Plan 60-90 minutes for all-keys-lost; the dealership takes 1-2 weeks and tows the car.
Do you program Jeep smart keys on-site?+
Yes. We carry blank Jeep smart fobs for current production models and program them on the spot using OEM-protocol tools. The dealer does not carry these blanks any faster than we do.
