When to call an emergency locksmith
When you cannot get in, cannot lock up, or a lock has failed with the door shut. If the key is lost rather than inside, say so on the call, because we will rekey after opening.
House lockout
A house or apartment lockout is $80-$160 in standard hours. We check you live there before we open the door.
Car lockout
Keys in the cabin or the trunk, the same $80-$160 band in standard hours.
Business lockout
Storefronts, offices and strata common doors start at $80-$160. A mortise lock, panic hardware, roll shutter or electric strike is quoted higher.
What an emergency call costs
The service call is $75 in standard hours. After-hours labour is $150 from 5 pm to 9 pm and $250/hour from 9 pm to 8:30 am. The rate is given on the call.
What happens when you call
A person at the shop asks where you are and what the lock is, gives the price and the time, and sends a licensed locksmith. The price on the invoice is the one on the call.
