Cranks, will not release, will not start

On the Discovery 3, the LR3 and the early Range Rover Sport the electronic steering column lock fails and blocks the start even with a known-good key. It is the single most common Land Rover call we get, and it is not a key job. We read the immobiliser codes at the vehicle and replace the column lock module there.

Evoque and Velar fob drain

A weak fob shows as an intermittent no-start before it shows as anything else. A cell and a resync is a small job; we do that before discussing a new key.
