Automotive Keys 1989-2008 Mitsubishi - Transponder Key Vancouver

Mitsubishi used a plain black-head chipped key across a long run of Lancers, Galants, Eclipses, Outlanders and Montero models, and it is easy to underestimate. It looks like an ordinary metal key, but a transponder sealed inside the plastic head talks to the immobiliser every time you turn the ignition. A copy cut at a hardware kiosk will turn the lock and then the engine will crank and die, or not crank at all, because the car never heard the chip. That spread of years also means more than one chip and blade generation sits under this listing. Before we cut anything, we check your model and year, and ideally look at the key you already have, so the right version goes on the machine. Ask us to confirm for your trim/year if you are ordering ahead. The job has two halves. First the blade is cut, either by copying a working key or from the lock code. Then the new key is introduced to the car with a programmer plugged into the diagnostic port, which needs the vehicle on site along with your registration and photo ID. If you still have one working key, adding a spare is the simpler of the two jobs; if every key is gone, we can still do it, it just involves more steps. Call 604-734-7233 and tell us the year and model, and we will tell you what we need.
