Mitsubishi keys can look nearly identical across models while carrying different chips, so the letters stamped on the head matter. This is the MIT13 transponder key with the N stamp, for selected Mitsubishi vehicles from 1999 to 2007. Look at your current key. If it has an N moulded or stamped into the head, that is your clue, though the letter alone is not proof. Mitsubishi used several stamps on chipped keys and the immobiliser needs the right one. Bring the key in or ask us to confirm for your trim/year, especially for Outlander, Lancer, Galant and Eclipse owners where the generations overlap. MIT13 is the blade profile, and we cut it on our code machine, either from your key or from code when the original is lost. Then the chip is registered with your car through the diagnostic port.
