Automotive Keys 2004-2007 Mitsubishi - Transponder Key Vancouver

Mitsubishi switched several of its models to the Philips ID46 chip in the mid-2000s, and this Ilco key, cross-referenced as MIT16A, is built around that chip. It replaces the plain transponder key with no buttons, the one you turn in the ignition. The chip is what makes the difference between a key that turns and a key that starts. The car's immobiliser reads the ID46 every time you switch on, and if it does not recognise the code, the engine will not run. So when you order this key, decide between two services: cut only, which gives you a door key, or cut and program, which gives you a full working key. For programming, the car has to be there. Registration and photo ID are required. If you still have a working key, the process is simpler than when every key has been lost. The MIT16A and the MIT14 can look similar at a glance but use different chips and blades. If you are not sure which your Mitsubishi takes, tell us the year and model and we will check before cutting.
