Y159 and Y170 are the blade profiles behind most Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep turn-key ignitions from 2008 to 2020, and this is a shell for those keys: a new head and an uncut blade, with no chip in it. Your old key's transponder chip moves across. That makes it the right fix when the head of your key has cracked, the blade has bent or the rubber has torn away, but the key still starts the vehicle. Because the chip is the original, the immobiliser already knows it, and once the swap is done there is nothing to program. When you bring your key in, we open the old head, pull the chip, fit it into the new shell and cut the new blade, either by duplicating yours or by factory code if the old one is badly worn. Tell us which blade you have, or bring the key and we will match it. If the chip has been lost or damaged, a shell will not help, and a full transponder key programmed to the vehicle is the answer.
