The Chrysler emergency key blade, and how we set one up.
Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep push-start fobs all hide a small key, and this blade is it, covering most fobs from 2011 to 2021. Press the release on the fob and the old blade slides out; this one slides in its place. Owners usually discover it is missing at the worst moment, standing beside a car that will not unlock. No chip, no electronics. The blade only opens the driver's door, and on many of these vehicles the keyhole hides behind a cap on the handle. You will still need a working fob, or to hold the fob close to the start button, to get the engine running. We cut the blade to your door lock using your key code or by copying a blade you have. Then we check the fit in your fob so it locks in and does not rattle out. That is the whole job, and it is a small one. If you are buying a used Chrysler-group vehicle with an empty blade slot, this is a cheap thing to fix before the first winter. Bring the fob so we can match the head.
