Acura gave the 2009 to 2014 TL a keyless access system on most trims, and this is the complete four-button smart key for it, with lock, unlock, trunk and panic. Unlike the shell listing, it includes the transmitter and immobiliser electronics, so it can replace a key that has been lost, stolen, soaked or crushed. Push button start on the TL depends on the car detecting this key inside the cabin. When the fob battery is weak, you may see a warning on the dash or the car may not start. Acura's manual shows how to start with a weak fob by holding it close to the start button; if that works, the key just needs a battery. If it does not, or the key is missing, this is the answer. Making a new one work is a vehicle job. We register the key to the TL through the diagnostic port, which needs the car and the owner's registration and photo ID, and we cut the internal emergency blade to your door. Have one working key?
