Automotive Keys 2009-2016 Toyota Matrix Venza / 3-Button Remote Head Key Vancouver

The Matrix is a compact hatchback and the Venza a midsize crossover, but from 2009 to 2016 they share this key: a three-button remote head key with lock, unlock and panic. There is no hatch button on this version, so if yours has four buttons, look at the four-button listings instead. Both vehicles start with a turn of the key in the ignition, and the head of the key contains a transponder chip that the immobiliser checks every time. That is why a cheap blade copy will open the door but the engine will not run. Matrix owners in particular tend to keep these cars a long time, and by now many keys have rubber pads worn through and blades worn smooth. Cutting a new key by code restores the original depth, which can make a sticky ignition feel normal again. After cutting, we program the chip and the remote to your vehicle, with the car present. Bring the registration and ID. Adding a key while you have one working is simplest; if you have lost every key, we originate a new one at the vehicle. Ask us to confirm for your model year.
