PEPS is Ford's own shorthand for passive entry, passive start, the system marketed as Intelligent Access, and this five button fob is the version that adds remote start to the usual lock, unlock, trunk and panic set. It fits Ford cars, SUVs and trucks from 2011 to 2020 that start from a button rather than a key. The fob does its work from a pocket: the door unlocks as you pull the handle and the engine starts from the dash, while the buttons handle the rest from across a parking lot.
