Automotive Keys 2013-2019 Toyota 3-Button Remote Head Key Vancouver

Toyota kept a turned key on most of its volume models well into this period, and this is the three button remote head key those cars take: the cut blade, the transponder chip and the remote transmitter share a single head, so one item covers the door, the ignition and the locking buttons. Because everything is built into one piece, a spare cannot be assembled from parts. The blade is cut to your lock on our code machine, the chip is registered to the immobiliser, and the remote is then taught to the body computer as a separate step, which is why a key that starts the car but ignores the buttons has usually only had half the work done. Nothing about this key has to pass through a dealership; we handle the cutting and both programming steps ourselves, at the car, whether you meet us at 4105 Macdonald St in Vancouver or we come to where it is parked. What you should have on hand is the vehicle itself, your registration, photo identification and, if one exists, the key that still works, since a working key turns a long all keys lost session into a short add a key one. This is a complete key rather than a shell. A shell is the empty housing alone, with no board and no chip, and it suits a key whose electronics are sound but whose plastic has failed; if that describes yours, ask about a shell swap before paying for a full key. The weak point on Toyota remote head keys of these years is the plastic around the keyring hole, which fatigues and lets the head split, and the blade tip, which rounds off after years in worn Corolla and Camry cylinders until it needs a jiggle to turn.
