The 2015 refresh brought push button start to upper CR-V trims for the first time, and this 4-button smart key belongs to those two model years. Lock, unlock, the power tailgate and panic are on the face. Lower trims from the same years kept a turn key, which needs a remote head key instead, so check for a start button on your dash. Because this fob covers a short window, it is easy to buy the wrong one. Fobs for the 2017 and later CR-V look similar but belong to the next generation. We will confirm against your year or your old fob. What the work involves: we pull the emergency key out of the new fob and cut it to your driver's door, then program the fob to the CR-V with diagnostic equipment while the vehicle is with us. Registration and photo ID are required. If you have one working fob, the new one is simply added. If none are left, we handle all keys lost at the vehicle as well.
