Automotive Keys 2018-2022 GMC Terrain / 4-Button Smart Key Vancouver

Between the basic three button Terrain fob and the fully loaded five button one sits this version. It adds a single extra function to lock, unlock and panic, and on the Terrain that fourth button is most often remote start. Some builds put the liftgate there instead, so look at the icon on your current fob and match it. The span is wider than the other Terrain listings: 2018 through 2022. Whichever year you drive, the job is the same. The vehicle has to be present for programming because the fob is registered in the Terrain's own memory, and we ask for the registration and photo ID to confirm ownership. What makes a Terrain fob stop working? Mostly the battery, which is a cheap fix you can try first. After that, it is usually physical damage: a dropped fob with a broken board, a soaked one, or worn button contacts. If you have replaced the battery and the vehicle still says no key, it is time for a new fob. The slide-out key inside is cut to your door on our code machine. It will not start the Terrain, but it gets you inside when power is gone. Call 604-734-7233 to set up a time.
