Automotive Keys 2018-2023 Toyota Camry / 4-Button Smart Key Vancouver

Toyota's name for its proximity system is the Smart Key, and this four button fob is the one that goes with the current Camry, the sedan built from 2018 through 2023, which our Toyota page lists as the generation that moved off the blade transponder key. With it in a pocket or a bag the doors unlock at the handle and the engine starts on the dash button; the four buttons typically cover locking, unlocking, the trunk and the alarm. There is no separate key to cut for daily use, but a short mechanical blade slides out of the fob to open the driver's door if the battery in the fob or the car is dead, and we cut that blade to match. What arrives here is the complete fob with its circuit board and transponder, not an empty case. Cases, sold as shells, exist for the fob whose electronics still work but whose plastic has cracked or whose buttons have worn through, and moving your original board into a fresh case is a smaller job than pairing a new fob. Pairing is done with the Camry in front of us, whether that is at 4105 Macdonald St in Vancouver or at your parking spot, and no part of it involves a Toyota dealership. Adding a spare while one fob still works is a short session; when every fob has gone the immobiliser has to be reset at the car and the missing fob voided, which takes longer and is booked as an all keys lost job. The failure we see most on this style is seasonal. A cell that was marginal in the autumn gives up on the first cold morning and the dash reports no key detected; a fresh cell and a resync fixes that for a fraction of the cost of new hardware, so mention the symptom when you call 604-734-7233. Have the registration, your driver's licence and any working fob with you.
