Automotive Keys 2019-2024 Subaru Ascent, Legacy, Outback / 4-Button Smart Key Vancouver

Subaru's Ascent, Legacy and Outback of 2019 to 2024 share one four button smart key, so a single listing covers the three row Ascent, the Legacy sedan and the Outback wagon. The buttons are lock, unlock, the rear gate or trunk and panic, and the fob is a proximity key: it stays in a pocket or a bag, the doors unlock on a touch, and the engine starts from the dash button. A slim emergency blade clips inside for the driver's door, and we cut it to your lock while the fob itself is registered to the vehicle's immobiliser and body computer electronically. That registration happens here rather than at a dealership, and we carry the equipment for it. One Subaru habit shapes how you should book. When a new fob is registered, the car rewrites its whole list of keys, so a fob that is left at home during the session may be dropped from that list and stop working until it is registered again; the simple fix is to bring every fob you intend to keep using with you, and we register them together. This is the working fob with its board inside. A shell is the case and button pad with nothing electronic in it, and on the Outback in particular a shell is often the entire repair, because the battery contact inside the housing fails long before the cell or the board does and the fob merely seems dead; we test for that before selling a fob. The complete fob is for a lost one, or one whose board has actually failed. Bring the vehicle, its registration and your driver's licence to 4105 Macdonald St in Vancouver, or ask us to come to it. A spare added beside a working fob is a short appointment; the last fob lost is an all keys lost job and takes longer. Confirm the model year on 604-734-7233 before ordering, because the Outback changed generation inside this range.
