Automotive Keys 2022 Infiniti QX60 / 5-Button Smart Key Vancouver

2022 was the first year of the new-generation QX60, and its proximity key is specific to that model and year, so a fob from an earlier QX60 will not do. The five buttons usually cover lock, unlock, panic, the power liftgate and remote start, although options vary and we will confirm the layout against your vehicle. Like most luxury SUVs, the QX60 never asks you to insert the key. The fob is detected at the door handles and the start button, and the car will refuse to start if it cannot see a key it knows. Inside the fob is a mechanical insert for the door when the battery runs out. Getting a replacement working involves cutting that insert to your lock and teaching the QX60 to accept the new fob, which we do with the vehicle present after seeing your registration and photo ID. If you have one key left, adding a second is the straightforward case. If you have none, the job is still doable at the vehicle but involves more steps. We are at 604-734-7233, and we can come to the SUV or see you at the shop.
