Automotive Keys 2023 Lexus RX 350 RX 500H/ 4-Button Smart Key Vancouver

The 2023 RX marked the start of a new generation, covering the gasoline RX 350 and the RX 500h performance hybrid. This four-button proximity key is listed for those models; earlier RX fobs do not carry over. Lock, unlock, power back door and panic are the usual four buttons, but confirm the layout against your current key, since Lexus options vary. Lexus smart keys are designed to stay out of sight. The RX unlocks as your hand reaches the handle, and the start button only works once the fob is detected inside. When the battery fades, the mechanical key that slides out of the fob opens the driver's door, and holding the fob near the start button generally lets the car start anyway. Registering a new key to a current Lexus is done through the vehicle, so the RX must be present together with its registration and your photo ID. We cut the mechanical key to your lock at the same visit. Keeping a working key on hand when adding another makes the process far simpler than if all keys are gone. Owners of the hybrid RX 500h sometimes worry the procedure differs; from the owner's side, it is the same appointment.
