Key Blanks LA SARGENT Vancouver

Sargent's LA section is probably the most common commercial keyway we cut, and this is the six-pin style LA blank sold by JMA as SAR-8. The supplier sheet lists a long run of equivalents: 1007LA and 275LA, 7LA, H7LA, 07LA, S22 and S22 and a half, SAR-8S, VC59 and 5SA-LA among them. If your existing key is stamped with any of those, you are looking at the same profile under another maker's number. That matters because Sargent keys are often copies of copies, cut years apart on different brands of blank. The stamp tells you the keyway, the cuts tell the lock which key it is. Most LA keys we see come from offices, schools, strata common areas and institutional buildings. We trace a working key on the duplicator, or cut to the bitting code if the building keeps records, which is the cleaner option for worn keys or for a batch of matching keys. If your door has a five-pin cylinder, a shorter blank may be the better fit; count the cuts on your key or ask us. Our phone is 604-734-7233.
