GM keys on the B99 and B112 profiles have a habit of losing their heads. The plastic splits, the blade spins, and sooner or later the chip inside is sitting loose in a cupholder. This listing is the replacement housing for those keys: a new head and an uncut blade with no transponder inside. It turns into a working key once we transfer your original chip into it and cut the blade to match your ignition. Because the car already recognises that chip, there is normally no programming involved, which makes a shell repair a sensible fix when the electronics are fine and only the case has failed.
