Automotive Keys 1999-2008 Acura / 4-button Keyless Entry Remote Shell Vancouver

Many Acuras from this era came with a stand-alone remote fob, usually with lock, unlock, trunk and panic buttons, separate from the ignition key. Years of being dropped and squeezed leave the case scuffed, cracked or held together with tape, while the electronics inside keep working. That is where this shell comes in. It is just the housing: two case halves and a four-button pad, without any circuit board. We open your old fob, move the board and battery contact into the new case, close it up, and test each button against your car. Because the board is unchanged, there is no reprogramming. Count your buttons before ordering. Acura made both three- and four-button fobs, and the board layout has to match the case for the buttons to line up. If your fob has four buttons and the case style in the photos, you are in the right place. If not, ask us to confirm for your trim/year. A shell does not fix a board that has stopped transmitting. Try a fresh coin cell first; if that brings the light back but the car ignores it, the fob may have lost its pairing, which we can redo with the car present.
