Honda moved a lot of its cars to an all-in-one key during these years, and this is the 4-button version: buttons in the head, chip inside, fixed blade below. The fourth button over lock, unlock and panic is usually the trunk release, so if your old key has only three buttons, this may not match your car. These heads are known for two failures. The rubber button pad splits and lets moisture in, and the blade loosens where it meets the plastic. Either one tends to show up first as a remote that works only some of the time. Getting a new one going means cutting and programming. We cut the blade on a code machine, from your existing key or by code, so it turns smoothly in the ignition and doors.
