Automotive Keys 1999-2014 Volvo - Transponder Key Shell Vancouver

Volvo's NE66 blade is the high-security profile with a track milled along its faces, used across a long stretch of Volvo models, and it is the blade on this ILCO shell, cross-referenced as Silca NE66-GTS. The head is empty: no chip and no remote, just the housing your existing transponder will move into. That makes it a repair part rather than a new key. It suits owners whose key head has snapped, cracked or worn out while the chip still works. Bring the old key, including the broken pieces. We recover the transponder, set it into the new head, and cut the NE66 blade on our code machine so it matches your ignition and doors. Because NE66 is a track key, a worn original can be a poor pattern to copy from. Cutting from code is often the better choice, and that is how we normally do it when the lock code is available. Do you need programming afterwards? Normally no, since the car already recognises the original chip. If the chip turns out to be damaged, we will tell you before going further, and a complete programmed key becomes the answer. If you are not sure your key is NE66, ask us to confirm for your trim/year, or come by 4105 Macdonald St with the key in hand.
