A flip key folds the blade into the remote, so the whole thing sits flat in a pocket, and it replaces the remote head key and the separate fob some vehicles used. This listing is one of two flip-key variants we stock for this date range. Why two? The boards inside differ to suit different chip generations and remote frequencies used over nineteen years of Ford, Lincoln and Mercury production. On the outside, both have four buttons, usually lock, unlock, trunk and panic, and a folding blade. So the important step happens before you pay: give us the year, model and preferably the VIN, and we will tell you which variant your vehicle needs. Ask us to confirm for your trim/year rather than choosing by photo. Once matched, we cut the folding blade to your ignition on our code machine, program the transponder to PATS, and register the remote buttons, with the vehicle on site.
