Jaguar's flip key for this period is essentially a Tibbe key that folds. Press the release and a short, round-backed blade swings out; inside the case there is a 4D60 transponder for the immobiliser and a 315 MHz remote board powered by a CR2032 cell. This aftermarket unit replaces the keys listed under FCC IDs NHVWB1U241, NHVWBIU241 and CWTWB1U243, with part numbers in the 1X43-15K601 range, and it has four buttons: lock, unlock, panic and trunk. Compare it with the five-button flip key we also carry for Jaguar. That one adds a lights button and uses a CR1616 battery. Count the buttons on your current key and match the symbols; if they do not line up, ask us to confirm for your trim/year. The blade is cut on our Tibbe machine, by code where possible. Then two pairings: the 4D60 chip to the immobiliser and the remote to the body electronics. Both happen at the car, with the registration and photo ID present.
