Automotive Keys 2003-2010 Honda Accord Element / 4-Button Remote Head Key Vancouver

Accords and Elements from 2003 to 2010 shipped with a chunky remote head key, and if yours has gone, this is its replacement: four buttons for lock, unlock, trunk and panic set into the head, the immobiliser chip potted behind them, and the blade extending from the base. It is an all in one part, so the three functions are restored together. We cut the blade to the vehicle's lock code, register the chip to the immobiliser and pair the remote to the body computer in the same appointment, and none of that requires a Honda dealership; it is done at our counter or at the car. At this age the key is often the least of the problem. Accord ignition cylinders of this generation wear their wafers past about 150,000 kilometres, and the first symptom is a key that turns halfway and needs a wiggle, which a brand new key will not cure. We check the cylinder before selling a key, and where the cylinder is the fault we rebuild it and key it to the key you already carry so you are not left with two. Shell or complete key is the other decision. A shell is the empty head with a blank blade, no chip and no electronics, and it is the sensible purchase when your buttons and your start still work and the plastic has simply cracked at the ring or worn smooth; we transfer your board and chip into it and cut the blade to match your old one. The complete key on this page is for a lost key, a drowned key or a dead board. Have the registration, your photo identification and the car with you at 4105 Macdonald St in Vancouver, plus the surviving key if there is one, because adding a spare beside a working key is a short job and starting from no key at all is not.
