The Chrysler remote head key, and how we set one up.
On a Chrysler or Jeep of these years, the fourth button on the key head is not standard. Depending on the vehicle it can be a liftgate or trunk release, or a remote start button on vehicles that left the factory with remote start. Lock, unlock and panic fill the other three spots.
That variation matters when ordering. A board programmed for a liftgate function and one set up for remote start are not always interchangeable, so ask us to confirm for your trim and year, or bring your original key along so we can match it.
The key itself is the familiar Chrysler-group turn-ignition key with a rubber-faced head. We cut the blade on a code machine, then program the chip and the remote to your vehicle. The car must be present with the registration and your photo ID.
As with most remote head keys, physical damage is the usual reason for a visit. If your remote still works and only the case is falling apart, we can often move the board into a new shell. If it is lost, this complete key is the way back.
