The Volkswagen flip key, and how we set one up.
Here is the part for a VW flip key that still works electronically but has fallen apart physically. Broken pivot, a blade that wobbles, buttons that have split, a battery door that will not stay closed: all typical after years in a pocket. What you get is the case and the uncut blade. It has no electronics. We take your existing circuit board and transponder out of the old key and fit them into this shell, then cut the blade to match your ignition and doors. Since your original board goes into it, the car already recognises it. No programming, no visit with the car required for the shell swap itself, as long as the board was working before. A quick self-check: if pressing the buttons on your damaged key still locks and unlocks the car, the board is fine and this shell makes sense. If the remote stopped working entirely, the fault may be the board, and the complete 4-button flip key is the better choice. Bring the old key to our counter, even in pieces, so we can match the layout and confirm the shell fits your board.
