The NBG009066T smart key, and how we set one up.
The Passat and CC from 2006 to 2015 are the classic home of the rectangular VW fob. Many of these cars start by pushing the fob into a slot in the dash, and those with keyless access let you start with a button. What happens when this fob dies? If the battery is weak, the car may still read it in the slot, but the remote range drops. If the internal board fails or the fob is dropped hard, the car may stop recognising it altogether. With only one fob, that leaves you stuck. This listing covers both models in one key. Even so, the CC and Passat had several fob versions, and keyless access cars need a different unit from slot-start cars. Ask us to confirm for your specific car before buying. Inside the fob there is an emergency blade. We cut it on our code machine to your door lock, so you are never left outside. The fob itself is programmed to the vehicle's immobiliser, which takes the car, your registration and photo ID, and preferably any working fob you have.
