We carry two versions of the Mazda three-button flip key for this decade, because the boards inside differ between models and years even though the outside looks almost identical. Choosing the right one comes down to the frequency and part number on your existing remote, or your VIN if the key is lost. Turn your current key over. Most Mazda remotes have numbers moulded or printed on the back of the case. Send us a photo, or come to the shop, and we will match it. Once we know it fits, the process is the same as any Mazda flip key. We cut the blade to your ignition and doors on our code machine, then program the transponder and remote with the car present. You will need registration and photo ID. Practical tip: if your blade folds but stays loose, or the battery door has broken, this full key replaces the whole unit and gives you a fresh battery and hinge as well. If you have no working key at all, let us know when you book. The all-keys-lost process takes longer, but we can come to the car.
