The Volkswagen flip key, and how we set one up.
Just the metal blade, nothing else. If your VW or Audi flip key still locks, unlocks and starts the car but the blade has bent, snapped at the pivot or worn so far that the ignition or door is fussy, you do not need a whole new key. The chip and remote electronics live in the head, so the head stays with you and only the blade gets swapped. We cut this blank to code or by decoding your existing blade, then pin it into your flip head so it folds and springs out like the original. Because nothing electronic is changing, there is no programming involved and the car does not have to be present for the cutting, although bringing the key head along is essential so we can fit and test the fold. A worn blade is also a clue worth listening to: if the ignition has started to stick, tell us, since a tired lock cylinder can be the real problem.
