Automotive Keys 2006-2015 Volkswagen Passat CC / 4 Button Smart Key Shell Vancouver

The rectangular Passat and CC fob lives a hard life. It gets pushed into the dash slot and pulled out again every drive, and over the years the case wears at the edges, the button pad splits, and the clip holding the emergency blade gives up. This shell is a new outer case for that fob. It does not contain a circuit board, a transponder or a battery. Your existing electronics come out of the worn case and go into this one, and since the car already knows them, there is no programming. Before choosing a shell, make sure the fob still does its job. Does the car start with it in the slot, or with the button on keyless cars? Do the buttons still lock and unlock? If yes, a new case is a tidy repair. If the car no longer recognises the fob, a shell will not change that, and a complete smart key is what you need. A rough or missing emergency blade can be cut fresh to your door lock while we have the fob open. Bring the fob into the shop at 4105 Macdonald St so we can confirm the case matches your board.
