2016-2020 Honda Accord Civic / 4-Button Remote Head Key

Tenth generation Civics and the Accords that overlapped them kept a turned key on their entry trims, and that key is this four button remote head unit: lock, unlock, trunk and panic on the head, a transponder chip inside it, and a blade with a wavy groove milled down its centre instead of teeth along its edge. That groove is the high security sidewinder profile Honda adopted on its newer cars, and it is the reason a hardware store or a general key kiosk cannot help you with this key even for a simple copy. The blade needs a laser style cutter that follows the track, and we have one, so the blade is cut to your lock and the chip and remote are programmed to the car in a single visit, without a dealer. The three jobs live in one part, which is convenient until the part fails: a head cracked at the ring, buttons worn to the board, or a blade snapped in a frozen door take the whole key with them. Weigh a shell before buying a complete key. The shell is the empty head plus an uncut sidewinder blade, no electronics, and it suits a key whose remote and start still work and whose plastic has given up; we move your board and chip into it and cut the new blade to your old one. This page is the complete key for a lost key or a dead board. The cars come to us in two states. With a working key present, the new key is cut from it and added to the immobiliser in a short session. With every key gone, the immobiliser has to accept a first key from nothing, which takes longer, and the car has to be here for it either way. Come to 4105 Macdonald St in Vancouver with the registration, photo identification and the vehicle. Call 604-734-7233 first with the model and year, because Honda changed the button layout across trims in these years.
