Automotive Keys 2018-2024 Jeep Wrangler / 3-Button Smart Flip Key Vancouver

Jeep sold the old JK and new JL Wrangler side by side during 2018, so a 2018 owner needs to know which one they have before buying a key. This listing is for the JL, which runs from 2018 to 2024 and has a different key from the JK. A quick way to tell: JL Wranglers have the newer interior with a touchscreen on most trims, and the official model designation appears on registration and VIN lookups. We can confirm from your VIN if you are unsure. This version is a folding key with three buttons, lock, unlock and panic, for JLs started by turning a key. Push start JLs use a different fob. The key holds a transponder the immobiliser reads at every start, plus a remote that is paired separately. We cut the blade to the Jeep's code and then program both parts at the vehicle, which means bringing the Wrangler, the registration and photo ID, or booking a mobile visit. The most common failure we see on these is the hinge, followed by worn rubber button pads. If only the case is damaged, ask whether moving your working parts to a new housing makes more sense than replacing the whole key.
